1. Introduction
Village People is a hybrid work platform connecting students (interns) with hosts (companies/mentors). It is underwritten by MICT SETA and requires interns to maintain daily logs for compliance and reporting.
2. Roles
Interns
- Apply via Intern Application (when open).
- Submit required documents properly named (e.g.,
Surname_Name_ID.pdf).
- Complete daily attendance logs and maintain a logbook.
Hosts
- Register via Host Registration and await admin approval.
- Assign tasks/projects and mentor interns.
3. Daily Workflow for Interns
- Log In: Access the Daily Log page.
- Start Work: Click START. Ensure location services are on.
- Notes: Record tasks and progress throughout the day.
- Stop Work: Click STOP at the end of the day.
- Logbook Access: Filter entries by Day, Week, Month, or All.
4. Key Features
- Attendance/Log System for compliance and reporting.
- Resume Button for reconnecting within the same day.
- Reports for situation tracking and compliance.

5. Compliance & Documentation
Interns must submit all required documents promptly, ensure correct file naming, and maintain daily logs for SETA reporting. Failure to log may result in non-compliance.
